Fire protection / Training

Fire Safety Training, on your site.

Staff training that meets the duty set by the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 - theory in the meeting room, practical extinguisher sessions in the car park, certificates issued the same day.

On the day, your team will

  1. Understand the duty of care under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005
  2. Recognise the common causes of workplace fires and how to prevent them
  3. Identify the correct extinguisher for the class of fire in front of them
  4. Confidently discharge a portable extinguisher on a live, supervised fire
  5. Follow a clear evacuation procedure and marshal colleagues to the assembly point

Two courses

Awareness for everyone. Marshal duties for the people leading.

Practical, not just theoretical

Live fire, outdoors, on your site.

Hands-on sessions use portable extinguishers on different types of fire, giving staff invaluable experience of actually discharging a unit before they need to in anger. Conducted outside in a controlled area, with extinguisher refills of any items used included in the fee.

Regulatory basis

The law expects induction and refresher training.

The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 requires all staff to receive basic fire safety induction training and attend a refresher session at predetermined intervals. Bespoke courses are available where a standard syllabus doesn’t cover your risks.

Service area

Travelling to your site across South Wales.

Trainers travel from our Cwmbran and Cardiff offices to deliver on-site courses across Newport, Cwmbran, Abergavenny, Monmouth and the smaller towns in between. Multiple sessions can be booked back-to-back to train whole teams in a single day, with a discount on consecutive courses.
